Session 83 Synopsis

Day 1: After an extremely rough battle with 4 steel predator on the battle cube of Acheron, the group regroups, teleports back to the planar gate, and then teleports to their safe house in Rigus. Tharivol dissects one of the creatures and discovers many of the beast’s strengths and weaknesses.

Day 2-3: The next morning, the group teleports to Automata, and spends 2 days silverizing their weapons to be more effective versus the steel predator. On the third day, the group ports back to the gate room under Rigus, travels to the battle cube of Acheron, and then ports back to the farthest point traveled from the gate.

Day 4-6: Using a recently acquired wand of windwalk, the group continues on their journey. They fly by 2 soaring rocs, but the bird-beasts are unable to keep up with the party. Then they see and kill 2 formian taskmasters and 2 humanoids. On the second day, the group flies over an ice devil, but do not stop. On the third day, the party flies over and kills 3 formian taskmasters and 3 humanoids (later to be discovered as bladelings).

Day 7: On the morning of the 4th day in Acheron, the group sees in the sky, the cube of Kolyoral. The group takes off on a ~1000 mile trek through blackness to the distant cube. Part way there, the group hears a deafening crack, and sees a distant cube streak across the sky. Tharivol identifies the cube as Scourgehold (the home of Hextor). It eventually collides with another cube, Nishrek (the home of Gruumsh). After a long 10 hour flight, the party finally reaches their goal, and lands on the cube of Kolyoral.
